Do the Metallic series planters rust?
Our Metallic series planters are made from galvanized steel that is powder coated to provide a second layer of protection. Galvanized steel will not rust by virtue of being exposed to the weather however it is not rust proof meaning any damage to the material can allow rust to develop over time.

What gauge steel are the metallic and corten planters made from?
Our metallic and corten series planters are made from 16 gauge steel.

How long does corten steel take to rust?
Corten steel arrives in its unrsuted state. Over time, with exposure to natural weather elements, the material will begin to rust and develop a rich, beautiful patina. This process can vary depending on weather patterns and typically takes between 4-8 weeks.

Are custom sizes available?
At this time, we do not offer custom size planters or privacy screens. Please reach out to our customer service team as we are happy to provide recommendations for sizes as close as possible to what you are looking for.

Can I seal my corten steel planter?
Yes, you can seal your corten steel planter and prevent it from further rusting by applying a clear coat of polyurethane to the exterior. Please note, this may darken the color of your planter.
